Bindaring Living Stream Planting
08/08/2021: The weather mostly stayed good for this lovely misty morning plant out at the recently restored Hartcourt Street stream. The Town of Bassendean had done some previous planting and today volunteers with Bindaring Wetland and Bassendean Preservation Group added to the diversity and density of native plants growing along the little waterway. It was great to see some new volunteers come along - everyone is welcome at these planting events. All tools are provided .. as well as morning tea!
Species planted today included Sea Rush (Juncus kraussi), Gotucola (Centella asiatica), White Myrtle (Hypocalymma angustifolium), Pale Rush (Juncus pallidus), Scarlet Runner (Kennedia prostrata), Angled Lobelia and Green Kangaroo Paw. These were all grown in BPG’s GroCentre.
