Planting at Ashfield Flats in Djilba

29/08/2021: Our mid-Djilba (Nyoongar season of August - September) plant out was a gorgeous, muddy, sunny and sometimes rainy planting session by the Derbarl Yerrigan. We put in various native species that thrive in wetland conditions, including Robin Redbreast bush, Swamp Paperbark, Mohan, and Swamp Sheoak

It was great to see such a variety of ages all getting into the muddy work of planting seedlings, including our youngest volunteers.
